A World on Fire

A WORLD ON FIRE

BYRON HUGGINS (UK)
Sketch on paper

2020

I think my key point is alarmism. We did not hear the alarms that where raised demonstrating a key problem with society today. I hope that things do not return to normal but from this we can start to build stronger.

My pencil pieces are supposed to show two things - the queen crying for the country like every other person who is losing somebody showing the radically adjusted equilibrium between rich and poor, and our country on a ventilator, just about holding on. The earth with one of the key symptoms fever, hence the thermometer demonstrating not just this illness but the problem with the whole world heating up in other ways too. The core of our planet represented by lungs being constructed by rope to represent that the whole world is affected.
